About Us
In 2017, Jorge Rangel and his cousin, Diego Rangel, decided to start Star City Charters and provide star–level service in the bus charter industry. While starting up can be a challenge, that didn’t stop both Jorge and Diego from bringing their dreams into reality.
Jorge’s Bio
Meet Jorge Luis Rangel, owner and operator of Star City Charters.
Jorge has been in the bus transportation industry since he was a young boy, helping his family in their transportation business, Transportes J.L Rangel, a scheduled line-run company. From helping passengers board buses, loading luggage, selling tickets, and even helping the mechanics service the buses, Jorge was very hands-on. As the years went on, Jorge became more knowledgeable, learned how to manage the business, and became very involved with decision-making. Jorge’s ambition and confidence grew, and his vision evolved into the bus charter industry. With the help of his cousin, Diego Rangel, they set out to create Star City Charters. The name itself was a composure of what they love to do: provide great bus service and show the love they have for all of the Major League sports teams that represent the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex that carry the star in their logos. Today, it’s the love they have for their company that naturally shows when providing great transportation service to each and every one of their customers.
Diego’s Bio
Meet Diego Rangel, co-owner and operator of Star City Charters.
Diego also grew up in the family business, and as a young boy, he loved to tag along with his uncle, Jorge’s dad, who owns Transportes J.L. Rangel. He traveled as much as he could with his uncle and paid close attention to everything his uncle did. He also shared the same goals as Jorge to start their own bus company. He learned how the economics of a company worked through hands-on experience, and together, they mapped it down. Soon, a new star was born: Star City Charters. As they like to say, “There is a new Star in town, the fifth star, and the other four stars are in the logos of the four Major League teams that represent the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.”
